JON TURTELTAUB TO DIRECT LAST VEGAS FOR CBS FILMS AND MANDATE PICTURES

LOS ANGELES – September 21, 2011 – CBS Films announced today that Jon Turteltaub (National Treasure, National Treasure: Book of Secrets) is attached to direct the comedy LAST VEGAS from a screenplay by Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love, Tangled).  The film is being produced by Larry Mark (Julie & Julia, Dreamgirls) and Mandate Pictures.

LAST VEGAS tells the story of four best friends in their late-60’s, who decide to escape retirement and throw a Las Vegas bachelor party for the only one of them who remained single.

"I have known Jon for 25 years and have been trying to work with him for almost as long.  I'm thrilled we are finally getting the chance.  Knowing him as well as I do I know he has the comedy chops, the commercial sensibility and the emotional pathos to make this a great film that is both funny and meaningful," said CBS Films President and CEO Amy Baer.

Senior Vice President of Production Maria Faillace and Creative Executive Alex Ginno are overseeing the project for CBS Films. Executive Vice President of Production Nicole Brown is overseeing the project on behalf of Mandate Pictures. Turteltaub is represented by WME and managed by Oasis Media Group. Dan Freedman, Mandate’s SVP of Business & Legal Affairs, negotiated the deal with Turteltaub.
